Here's something you don't see everyday:
Truck slams into Temple hotel
Imagine driving down the Interstate and seeing that happen. Word is the truck driver, Gustavo Rodriguez of Eagle Pass, either fell asleep or was unconcious due to a medical condition.
The truck came off the interstate, and at one point was flying 50 feet in the air.
The occupants of the room he hit were enjoying breakfast in the hotel lobby. Hard to imagine what they must be thinking. Breakfast five minutes later, five minutes earlier and they are dead.
Amazingly, it seems the only injury was one guy in the room across the hall who suffered slight leg injuries.
The hotel, a Marriott Residence Inn, has been open less than a year.
