Where to find cheap gas

gas
Gas at one station has gotten back to almost normal prices

There are signs that life in the United States is turning back to normal. Well, as normal as it could be.
The above picture was taken at a gas station on October 19. Prices of gas have dropped almost $1 a gallon in a little over a week's time and, in many places much more than that.

Kind of strange in a way that the one thing that could be considered to be the biggest contributor to the struggling global economy may be the one thing that gets it back on track. Remember when gas shot up, not only did people stop traveling as much (thus dropping hotel and tourism dollars) but shipping cost more, so everything went up. The result, people weren't buying as much, needing to save money on whatever they could.

Now as gas goes back down, more people will again get out to travel more. Will this one small thing cure the struggling economy? Not hardly, as once prices on other goods go up, merchants are reluctant to drop them. They prefer to just wait for inflation to catch up. One more thing that will help is the election. The economy usually gets a boost when the new president is elected And considering how unpopular the current one is, it won't matter much who is elected, the economy should still get a boost.

So in case you are looking for this gas, you have to drive to San Benito, Texas, which right now may have the cheapest gas in the United States

Hey Tex,

Here in Tulsa we too have been seeing the same thing happening. Gase today is actually cheaper than it was one year ago (prior to it shooting up to ridiculous amounts). Today gas at Quik-Trips all around Tulsa had Unleaded for $2.35 a gallon.

I am curious to see the price reaction the day after the election. I think it will jump up again if McCain wins, and possibly stabilize if he doesn't.
